Along with the Residential Advisory Board (RAB), Penn's Department of Recration sponsors numerous Intramural Sports and activities through out the year. These activities are designed to promote participation
and socialization between groups and individuals, enhance physical fitness,
and foster a spirit of fair play and sportsmanship among participants
and spectators.
All of the sports have single gender competitive and recreational co-rec divisions to encourage all those interested in participating.
Stouffer is home to the House Cup, well, technically RAB is home to the House Cup, we just have been holding on to it for the past three years for safe keeping. If no one minds, we'll be holding on to it for the forseeable future. The House Cup is awarded to the College House with the most points at the end of the school year.
The point system is determined by RAB, and points are awarded based on
participation/success in the Intramural leagues and a select few other
events over the course of the year. Stouffer just happens to dominate
and therefore tends to win the House Cup every year.
Check back often to see how your favorite Stouffer team is doing in the House Cup standings, as well as their individual records. If you are interested in participating in any intramurals, or have an idea for another recreational activity, please contact Ryan Weicker, the house Recreation Manager (weicker@sas).
