Each spring, the usually reserved Stoufferites put on their dancing shoes and 'get-down' in their (almost) snazziest get up. Matt Lentz, our Special Events Manager, is currently taking suggestions for this year's semi-formal venue.

To get a better idea of the Stouffer Semi Formal, below is the invite from the Spring 2008 Semi-Formal.
*Stouffer Semi-Formal*
Wednesday, April 30, 2008
9pm - Midnight
123 Chestnut Street
The Plough and the Stars
Gourmet hours d' oeuvres, DJ and dancing, cash bar!
Stouffer residents and their guests are welcome to attend!
At this point in the email, you are probably asking yourself:
Q) What should I wear?
Wear your Monday best! If you are looking for ideas, check out the pictures from the last year's semi-formal.
Q) What kind of music will there be?
Music to dance to... probably more of the popular variety, as opposed to the line dancing variety. I'm sure the DJ will take requests.
Q) How do I RSVP/Get Tickets/How much are they?
If you bring $150 by the House Office, Dan will give you a VIP ticket,
- otherwise -
FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE FREE... thats right this is a FREE event! So no tickets to get, no signups necessary, just show on up
Q) How old do I have to be?
21 to enjoy the cash bar, otherwise, old enough to get your boogie on.
Q) How many guests can I bring?
Use your own discretion, obviously you can't bring 100 guests... but if you're feeling "baller-iffic" and have to bring 2 or 3 dates... by all means.
Q) Are people leaving as a group? How should I get there?
You can reach it by railway, you can reach me by trailway
You can reach it on an airplane, you can reach it with your mind
You can jump on a speedy colt, cross the city in a blaze of hope
I don't care how you get there, just- get there if you can
Or...
You can take a cab, SEPTA, or make nice with someone with a car. For
those drinking at the event, please be responsible about your
transportation choices!
