Courtney was born and raised in Reading, PA, where she grew up with the Reading Railroad, of Monopoly fame, in her backyard. She graduated from Reading High School, where she played volleyball, bowled, and was involved in Key Club and debate. She attended the University of Pennsylvania where she earned a BA in Psychology after a brief stint as a Whartonite and lived in the amazing Stouffer College House.  During her time at Penn, Courtney completed her thesis on authoritarianism and “risky” behaviors and enjoyed working with the Housing staff. After college, she worked at Thomas Jefferson University where she coordinated clinical trials for epilepsy and discovered she wanted to be a physician.  he is excited to be back at Penn as a student in the Post-baccalaureate Pre-Health Program and to return to Stouffer as a GA.  If you are a pre-med or biology major, you might run into her in your classes this year.  In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing volleyball, exploring Philadelphia on foot, dry humor, trying new restaurants, and watching TV shows like Top Chef and Grey’s Anatomy.  Previous | Staff List | Next
