Ezekiel Dixon-Roman - Faculty Fellow
Dr. Ezekiel Dixon-Román received his BA in psychology and Spanish from North Carolina Central University and an MA in the social sciences from the University of Chicago where he concentrated on quantitative methods and race, class and culture. He also accrued an MA in psychology while working on his PhD in psychometrics at Fordham University. Dr. Roman is an assistant professor in the school for Social Policy and Practice where he teaches courses in the areas of statistics, critical social theory and social policy. He is currently working on a book titled Inheriting Differance: The Educational Consequences of Assumed Difference and The Ends of Policy and currently has research supported grants from the American Educational Research Association, University of Pennsylvania Research Foundation, and University of Pennsylvania TRIO Pilot Project Competition. He currently has a grant supported research project in Habana, Cuba where he looks at out of school learning and youth culture. In spare time, Dr. Roman enjoys mentoring young adults, listening to music [especially Hip Hop], eating chocolate, watching pop culture series like The Wire, and spending time with his partner and two adorable Yorkies!! Dr. Roman is from Poughkeepsie, New York.
