Alison's fondest memories include holiday parties at her parents' house in South Weymouth, MA; her carpool to Notre Dame Academy; vacations on Cape Cod; late-night laughter at Loyola College; pub-crawls in Ireland; Habitat for Humanity builds in Baltimore; and urban adventure walks with Brian (her husband). In addition to House Deaning, Alison is currently in the dissertation-writing phase of earning a doctorate in Higher Education at Penn's Graduate School of Education. Alison commits her academic energies to questions of the service mission of universities. She's specifically interested in how college campuses influence students' social consciousness and how institutions of higher education serve as resources for their surrounding communities.
