Welcome Class of 2023!

Congratulations Class of 2023!

Welcome to Penn! As you plan to begin your life as a college student on Penn's campus, take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the various housing options for your first year. Stouffer is one of twelve College Houses at Penn, and is one of just four Houses that are open to students from all class-years. Steeped in tradition, Stouffer truly emodies the spirit of its slogan, nothing comes closer to home

First year students live in Stouffer Hall of Stouffer College House, a building known for its unique design that organically encourages the creation of strong relationships. Almost all first-year students live in singles and have access to public lounges, kitchens, and bathrooms. The building is fully air-conditioned. Another great feature of this community is that all bathrooms and toilets here are gender neutral, with options available for private and semi-private usage. Stouffer is also unique in that it offers an indoor-outdoor space - the Stouffer Patio. A basketball court, beds of flowers, fruits and vegetables, hammocks and lounge chairs, all combine to make this a homey and welcoming space.

Incoming transfer and exchange students live in suite-styled accommodations in Mayer Hall of Stouffer College Houses. These rooms have private kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms. Mayer Hall also boasts an in-house exercise room that is open to all residents of Stouffer College House.

All new students are invited to participate in our pre-orientation trip, Stouffer Outdoors. An overnight outing that takes students to the Lehigh River for whitewater rafting and camping in wood cabins, this event is easily the most loved part of any first-year student in our community!
