Black History Month Story Slam

What:

It is almost that time of year again for the 3rd Annual “Black History Month Story Slam”. The event will be held Thursday, February 21 at 7:30pm in the New College House Living Room (3335 Woodland Walk). We use this time to create space for Penn students, staff, faculty and the surrounding Philadelphia community to come together for a night to celebrate the richness of the African Diaspora. The *free* dinner—which is usually the highlight—includes dishes such as vegetable yassa, jerk chicken and fish.

Those interested in performing can email Dr. Brawner at brawnerb@upenn.edu with the details of their performance outlined below. Each performer/group will have up to 3 minutes, with no limitations on the performance type (e.g., read a poem, tell a story, play an instrument, sing).
