Hope Incarcerated

What:

Meet at Mayer Hall Lobby at 10:30 AM - Breakfast and Lunch Included

"Eastern State Penitentiary was once the most famous and expensive prison in the world, but stands today in ruin, a haunting world of crumbling cellblocks and empty guard towers. Its vaulted, sky-lit cells once held many of America's most notorious criminals, including "Slick Willie" Sutton and "Scarface" Al Capone."

Join Stouffer College House GA Daniel Kimonyi on a tour of this historic prison and participate in a conversation focusing on issues of crime, justice, and the changing face of our criminal justice system. Discover facts about the role that these issues play in Philadelphia - a city that has the highest per capita incarceration rate of the 10 largest U.S. cities.
