If you are a freshman living in Stouffer-Stouff and would like to return to Stouffer College House, you have two options:

1.      Reassignment: If you're seeking to get a similar room to the one you have now in Stouffer-Stouff then you are asking to be reassigned.

First, you must go to myhomeatpenn(link is external) and register to live in Stouffer College House (listed as a residential program) for next year. This website will be available from January 18 at 9am to January 23 at Noon. This is mandatory.

Next, you must fill out a Stouffer College House Room Preference Form, which is due back to the House Dean by Noon on January 23. Forms can only be returned to the House Dean's office (Stouffer 142D).

Room assignments will be sent via email on January 23. You must let the House Dean know by 5pm on January 24, if you accept that space or if you will participate in the lottery.

2.      Lottery: The lottery will take place on January 25 at 6pm in the Mayer Playroom. See below for information.

House Dean contact information: Nadir can be reached by email(link sends e-mail) or in his office in Stouffer 142D.

If you are a freshman living in Mayer Hall and would like to return to Stouffer College House, you have two options:

1.      Reassignment: If you're seeking to get a one bedroom double in Mayer Hall, then you are asking to be reassigned.

You must let the House Dean know by 5pm on, January 24, if you do not accept that space and will participate in the lottery.

If all 3 occupants want to be reassigned, then two of you must opt to be roommates and the third person will be assigned a different room and will have the option to pull in a roommate. If all 3 occupants want to be reassigned, but no one wants to be roommates, then all 3 must participate in the Stouffer College House lottery on January 25, or find other residents who would like to pull them into their room. If 2 of the occupants want to be reassigned, then they must be roommates. If only one person wants to be reassigned they can pull in a roommate (including someone from outside Stouffer, if they wish). If you cannot decide who will be roommates, you must bring those issues to the House Dean's attention by January 23 at noon.

2.      Lottery: The lottery will take place on January 25 at 6pm in the Mayer Playroom. See below for details.

House Dean contact information: Nadir can be reached by email(link sends e-mail) or in his office in Stouffer 142D.

If you are a sophomore, junior, or senior in either Stouffer or Mayer Hall:

1.      Reassignment: If you're interested in keeping the same room type you have now for 2017-2018 you must:

Go to myhomeatpenn(link is external) and register to live in Stouffer College House (listed as a residential program) for next year. This website will be available from January 18 at 9am to January 23 at Noon. This is mandatory.

Fill out a Stouffer College House Room Preference Form, which is due back to the House Dean by Noon on January 23. You will have an option to choose your current room as your first choice. If your first choice room is assigned to you, then you agree to accept the room, and you do not need to respond to your room selection notification email. Forms can only be returned to the House Dean's office (Stouffer 142D). You will receive notice of your reassignment via email on January 23. If you did not receive your first choice, you must let the House Dean know if you do not accept your room assignment by 5pm on January 24.

2.      Lottery: The lottery will take place on January 25 at 6pm in the Mayer Playroom. See below for details.

Stouffer College House Lottery, January 25 at 6pm.

If you are not able to attend the lottery, then you can send someone else to pick a room for you, but you must email the House Dean your request to have that person responsible for your room selection. At the lottery, you will pick a number, within your seniority group, and choose a room based on your number. If you lived in Stouffer College House in the semester before your fall/spring/full year abroad, then you may count that semester or year abroad as time in Stouffer. This does not apply to summer abroad.

The lottery will take place on January 25, beginning at 6pm in the Mayer Playroom. The schedule is as follows:

  • 6:00pm--Residents who have lived in Stouffer for 6 or more semesters (including spring 2017)
  • 6:20pm--Residents who have lived in Stouffer for 4 or more semesters (including spring 2017)
  • 6:50pm--Residents who have lived in Stouffer for 2 or more semesters (including spring 2017)
  • 7:00pm--Residents who have lived in Stouffer for 1 semester, or live elsewhere on campus

You should be prepared to pick a room when your time slot comes up, so you may want to arrive early to see what is still available.

If you want a one-bedroom double in Mayer, it is preferred that you sign up with a roommate. If you want a two-bedroom double, you must sign-up with a roommate. Your roommate need not live in Stouffer College House now. You can pull them in during the selection process.
