We have been presented with a pretty cool opportunity I'm hoping may be of interest to some of you. Philadelphia's STAR Program provides returning citizens the opportunity to receive job training, social supports, and other resources to help prevent recidivism.

Judge Felipe Restrepo, US Court of Appeals Judge for the 3rd Circuit (and Penn alum!!), has graciously agreed to host us on Tuesday, October 30th from 9am - 11:30pm to observe pre-court conference in his chambers, the court proceedings, and Q&A following court. 

We will meet in Mayer lobby at 8:00am. We will make a quick stop at Wawa to get coffee or breakfast snacks.

The court session ends at 11 am and is followed by a casual Q&A. We plan on being back on campus around Noon. An optional lunch discussion will follow if you do not have a time conflict at that hour.

*You must have a valid government-issued photo ID

*Dress appropriately for court (no sneakers/tennis shoes, no jeans, no t-shirts --appropriate wear would be khakis, slacks, button-up or polo shirt. If you have questions/concerns about attire please don't hesitate to reach out!
