Take Action to Support DACA

What:

Hello Stoufferites,

As you've probably heard by now, the Trump Administration made the decision to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program yesterday. This decision will have a profound impact on nearly 800,000 Americans. Regardless of your political leanings, it is important that we make our voices heard. The decision on immigration reform broadly, and DACA specifically, is now in the hands of the United States Congress!

Let's take action! I will be emailing both my US Representatives and Senators and I encourage you to do the same! To help facilitate this process, especially for those that have never done this before, I've drafted a letter for you to get the process started.

Attached is an editable draft letter to Congress that you may use to express your views to your representatives. The website below will allow you to type in your zipcode to find both your US Representatives and Senators. Feel free to write to one or all of them.

2) Change the date
3) Look up your representatives and their address
4) Type in your return address - make sure this is the address that corresponds to your member of Congress - will likely be your home address
5) Type in their name and appropriate title after "Dear____"
6) "Sign" the letter by typing your name in the following font - Brush Script MT - and then type your name in a more readable font below so it's legible
