TIP on Thursday!: Professor Justin McDaniel (of monk class fame)

What:

Yes, it is Tuesday's Interesting Person (TIP), but our MOST REQUESTED person volunteers on Tuesday evenings, so he is, in his own words 'Thursday's Almost Passable Person.'  It is none other than Justin McDaniel, the Religious Studies professor who teaches the famous 'monk class' (RELS356 - Living Deliberately: Monk, Saints, and the Contemplative Life).  He thinks he is not interesting, but he really is. He has two great children and before being a professor he had five very different jobs: 1) professional kickboxer; 2) bartender; 2) psychiatric hospital counselor; 4) Buddhist monk; 5) singer in a punk band. Now, he translates manuscripts and teaches classes (again, in his words).  I am really looking forward to it, and hope to see you there!
